Inside Soulfull

More than a cookbook

Soulfull is an independently published cookbook that lives somewhere between a creative archive and a cultural time capsule. More than a list of ingredients, it celebrates the people behind the meals, their memories, heritage and the beautifully unpolished kitchens where recipes are passed on.

12 recipes grounded in family, culture, memory and place
12 QR-linked recipe films showing each dish being made
12 commissioned original artworks created in response to the recipe stories
4 original poems, with filmed readings
– A companion spotify CO:TALKS video podcast series featuring the cooks, artists, poets, creative collaborators and impact partners behind the publication
– Editorial photography, illustration and immersive graphic design
– Native ingredient guidance developed with Bush to Bowl
– Sustainable, local, seasonal food with Good & Fugly
– Handmade ceramics from waste created with Kevala Ceramics
– A giving-back initiative supporting OzHarvest

Designed as an immersive editorial experience, it is the kind of book you leave on the coffee table to begin a conversation, then take into the kitchen to begin a meal.

Read the story. Watch the conversation. Cook the recipe. Gather around the table.

How every book gives back

Soulfull was built to create impact beyond the page.

One book helps provide 16 meals. A portion of every sale supports OzHarvest and its work fighting food waste and food insecurity across Australia.

The recipes also celebrate seasonal and imperfect produce through Good & Fugly, while our collaboration with Bush to Bowl invites readers to learn about native ingredients with greater knowledge, respect and connection to Country.
